To make sure the accuracy ,you need high precision checkerboard calibration targets.Laser cutting holes or some special shape to suit the mounting assembly.

Features of checkerboard target:

Function:

In order to correct lens distortion, determine the conversion relationship between physical dimensions and pixels, and determine the relationship between the three-dimensional geometric position of a point on the surface of a space object and its corresponding point in the image, it is necessary to establish a geometric model of camera imaging. For precision measurement, lens distortion is inevitable. Calibration is used to improve the application performance of high-precision measurement and detection to achieve satisfactory accuracy.


Use:

Most calibration software supports the use of solid squares as markers. In the process of high-precision camera calibration, most of them take feature points as reference points, accurately extract the center position through graph fitting, and eliminate the centroid caused by projection through known calibration template parameters.The Checkerboard Grid Calibration Board is corner detection based on gray image, corner detection based on binary image and corner detection based on contour curve. OpenCV calibration software can easily obtain the calibration result data of the camera, confirm the performance of the optical system, and determine the resolution of the camera lens.
